Mormons: Are they the only True Jews or are they the Synagogue of Satan?

by admin on October 17, 2012

I am again motivated by an email chastising me for denigrating one of the inner core teachings of Mormonism, the Only True Church doctrine that baptized Mormons are actually the only true Jews. I correctly stated such in my Book, My Kingdom Come: The Mormon Quest for Godhood, as well as in my web article, Glenn Beck and Jewish Mormonism,

In my book, My Kingdom Come, I shared the details regarding the Mormons’ claim to be the true Israel. Quoting Ex Mormon Temple worker, Chuck Sackett:

“Mormons believe that they are the only true Jews on Earth today. They also believe they come from the tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh, and that they have the true blood of Israel. Mormon males are ordained into what they believe are both the Leviticus and Melchizedek priesthoods. They believe that when they are baptized, their blood actually changes from Gentile blood into the blood of Israel.” My Kingdom Come, Decker, Page 109

Another e-mailer wrote and asked if the scripture below, from the Book of Revelations might pertain to the Mormons and the true body of Christ.

Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. KJV Rev 3:9

Rather than expound on my own, strong agreement that it does speak clearly of those who believe and teach this false doctrine as do the Mormons, I decided to just let someone like Matthew Henry respond.

[1.] Those enemies are described to be such as said they were Jews, but lied in saying so—pretended to be the only and peculiar people of God, but were really the synagogue of Satan. Assemblies that worship God in spirit and in truth are the Israel of God; assemblies that either worship false gods, or the true God in a false manner, are the synagogues of Satan: though they may profess to be the only people of God, their profession is a lie.

Matthew Henry goes on to say that those who are these liars will eventually fall at the feet of the church, knowing they are wrong and seeking to repent to come into fellowship with truth and the church. I pray for that day to come!

In the same section of the book, same page, I wrote:

“When I was given my Patriarchal Blessing as a Mormon, I was quite surprised when told by the church patriarch that I was of the House of Ephraim. I was shocked because I am the son of a Jewish mother of the Levitical lineage. I wrote it off as strange and special mystery. It meant that God removed my Levitical blood (and DNA) from my body and replaced it with the blood line of Ephraim and a different DNA. Remarkable!”

More than remarkable that a loving God would decide that my membership in a church that was actually true Israel, would require that my Levitical blood line be washed away and replaced by the blood line of Ephriam.

If I read the Bible correctly, the sons of Ephraim were a puffed-up, prideful bunch of cowards who ran from battle and refused to walk in the ways of the Lord (Psalm 78). God said He will cast them away because they did not hearken unto Him (Hosea 9:16–17). Not a great tribe in which to claim membership. Hey, give me back my Levitical blood!

Mr. Decker:

I am a believer in the One, True Lord Jesus Christ, whose power is dependent on no one or thing. As an exponent of Christian thought and a bit of common sense, I find your ambivalence towards Mitt Romney particularly distressing. Though you find the present Commander-in-Chief odious, you just cannot bring yourself to out and out name a spade a spade! Your commentaries about him during his run in the 2008 primaries were excellent. But now that Obama is the president, you aren’t as pointed on your criticism on Mitt or his so-called ties with the Brethren of the LDS church. Hmm…I wonder what has changed? Were the warnings just so much hype? Or do you see the apparent “damage” done by this half-black quasi-Christian liberal so much worse than the imagined “road to the new Zion” you spoke about in past literature?!

I was born a 3rd generation 7th Day Adventist. In early 1956, and being a first year high school in an sda institution, after I decided in my mind to become an Adventist minister, God in my mind challenged me to prove the Adventist teachings in the Bible, reminding me of how I will feel if at the end of my life, I will realize that I had been teaching false doctrines to thousands of people. After clearly reading from God’s word that the 1000 years of Christ’s reign will be on earth, and not in heaven as Adventists teach, I spiritually shuddered to realize that Ellen G. White, who the Adventist revere as God’s end time messenger/prophetess was actually manipulated by the Devil. I realized this through the seducing spirits/demons who were bent on destroying my mind after seeing the jolting revelations from God’s word. I reached the point of spiritual exhaustion that I just wanted to give in to the insinuations of those demons in order to rest my soul, but God bid me to “hang on” which I did. The demons were gone and I regained back my peace of mind. I had always been a keen reader of Bible prophecies, and every time I come across this “synagogue of Satan which say they are Jews and are not but do lie” in Rev. 3:9, it is the Seventh Day Adventist Church that figures out in my mind. This church honestly believes that because God abandoned Israel for rejecting Jesus the Messiah, all end time prophecies relating to Israel refers to it, considering that it is the only one that faithfully practices the Sabbath Command which is the sign of God’s chosen people. Moreover, its teachings on salvation, while on the surface appears like what evangelicals teach, is based on strict obedience to the 10 commandments centered on Sabbath keeping. This church fanatically believes to be the only one that has salvation because of its Sabbath observance, and, as guaranteed by the “sure word” of the “vision” based teachings of Ellen G. White, which are Satanic lies. Its leaders had long time ago kept from the general membership the proven lies of of EGWhite’s teachings, because of the money factor as known by insiders of its hierarchy, who had left after realizing its “truths” to be lies. As prophesied by Christ himself, this group which keenly understands the Bible through Ellen G. White, like the Jews who are keen about the law of Moses in their synagogue. will eventually officially realize their error and worship the Messiah at the “feet” of the end time Philadelphia church. Its sister church, the Worldwide Church of God which formed into another group from the early Advent believers already did that in the mid 1990′s, and is now an evangelical church. How this prophecy is to be fulfilled should be seriously prayed for by real Christians.
